Paper Bag Pumpkin Pumpkin

Here's what you need:
  • Poster paint (orange)
  • Construction paper (black and green)
  • Paintbrush
  • Child Safety Scissors
  • Brown paper lunch bag
  • White craft glue
  • Rubber band
  • Newspaper

Here's what you do:Stuff bag with paper.

 

  1. Cover table with newspaper.
  2. Fill paper bag with crumpled newspaper.
  3. Tightly wrap the rubber band around neck of bag for pumpkin's stem.
  4. Paint stuffed bag with orange poster paint and allow to dry completely.
  5. Meanwhile, use scissors to cut out the jack-o-lantern's eyes, nose, and mouth from black construction paper. Glue them onto the paper bag pumpkin.

Wrap rubber band around bag.Cut out eyes, nose, and mouth then glue them on bag.

More ideas:

  • Use scissors to cut a stem from green construction paper, then glue stem into top of pumpkin.
  • Make additional paper bag pumpkins for a pumpkin patch.
