Here's what you need:
- Poster paint (orange)
- Construction paper (black and green)
- Paintbrush
- Child Safety Scissors
|
- Brown paper lunch bag
- White craft glue
- Rubber band
- Newspaper
|
Here's what you do:
- Cover table with newspaper.
- Fill paper bag with crumpled newspaper.
- Tightly wrap the rubber band around neck
of bag for pumpkin's stem.
- Paint stuffed bag with orange poster paint
and allow to dry completely.
- Meanwhile, use scissors to cut out the jack-o-lantern's
eyes, nose, and mouth from black construction
paper. Glue them onto the paper bag pumpkin.
More ideas:
- Use scissors to cut a stem from green construction
paper, then glue stem into top of pumpkin.
- Make additional paper bag pumpkins for a
pumpkin patch.
- Read Popcorn by Frank Asch for an
unusual twist on Halloween.

Another great Halloween idea "Paint
a spaghetti squash white then paint big black
eyes on it. They sit up nice and tall and look
like ghosts.
