GROW
YOUR OWN PUMPKIN
Whether it is Spring
or Fall, it is easy and fascinating to plant pumpkin
seeds indoors and watch them sprout into seedlings.
It takes approximately 8-10 days for a pumpkin
seed. |

MATERIALS:
Potting Soil
Pumpkin Seeds
(1) 6" Container |

| DIRECTIONS: |
| 1. |
Fill your 6" container
with loosely packed potting soil to one inch from the
top. |
| 2. |
Plant (1) seed in the
container, no further than 1" under the soil. |
| 3. |
Place the container in
an area that has a temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit
for
the best germinating conditions. Check the soil each day, making sure it is moist
but not soaking.
After approximately 8 - 10 days, you will begin to see the seeds sprout. Keep
track
of the daily growth. |

When the plants are 3" -
4" tall, you can choose to plant your pumpkin
plants
outside in the ground for optimum growth. Pumpkins require a lot of space, the
vines can easily reach five yards or more. The plants like the sun and can be
watered
about 1 time a week. You should have fruit on your plant in approximately 90
days. |
